Dr. El Hadji Seydou Mbaye was born in 1978 in Kaolack a region of Senegal. During 2008-2013, he earned his PhD in Biology and Human Pathologies with the collaboration of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) /WHO, Lyon (France); 2006-2007 : Master of Life and Health, Specialty Biology of microorganisms, Virology in Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg (France); 2005-2006 : Master of Life and Health, option of Immuno-physiopathology in Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg (France); 2004-2005 : License of Biochemistry in Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg (France); 2002-2004 : General Degree in Sciences and Technologies in University of METZ (France). He was certified by the Federation International of Gynecology Obstetrics (FIGO), the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE, www.acoe.be), the Institute Catalan of Oncology (ICO) for cervical cancer prevention (Grade 10/10) in support of Continuing Medical Education for physicians. These credits are also recognized as Physician’s Recognition Award (AMA PRA Category 1 credits) by the American Medical Association. He was certified, by the United Nations for Basic Notion of Security on the Ground-Protection, Health and behavior, by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC)/World Health Organization, Lyon (France) for Safety Certificate.

Alexander Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine worked at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London for over 26 years, during this time he spent a year at Harvard Medical School looking at caused of cardiovascular diseases and a year at Johns Hopkins Medical School looking at the treatment of liver cancer. He published more than 647 peer-reviewed research papers and registered 14 UK and International patents. On editorial boards of 41 journals. He supervised 121 PhD students, all successfully completed. He is currently CEO of NanoRegMed Ltd, working on the commercialisation of his research. During his career, Prof Seifalian has led and managed many large projects with successful outcomes in terms of commercialisation and translation to patients. In 2007 he was awarded the top prize in the field for the development of nanomaterials and technologies for cardiovascular implants by Medical Future Innovation, and in 2009 he received a Business Innovation Award from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). He was the European Life Science Awards’ Winner of Most Innovative New Product 2012 for the “synthetic trachea”. Prof Seifalian won the Nanosmat Prize in 2013 and in 2016 he received the Distinguish Research Award in recognition of his outstanding work in regenerative medicine from Heals Healthy Life Extension Society. His achievements include the development of the world first synthetic trachea, lacrimal drainage conduit, and vascular bypass graft using nanocomposite materials, bioactive molecules and stem cell technology. Currently, he is working on the development and commercialisation of human organs using graphene-based nanocomposite materials and stem cells technology. Recently he has commercialised a novel functionalised graphene oxide for medical and other industrial applications and synthetic graphene-based nanocomposite materials for surgical and medical devices application. He is currently working on the development of facial organs, heart valves and tendons.

Dr Tracy Roake is the Head of Education and Student Affairs at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, she is also adjunct instructor at the Fatima college of Health sciences teaching the art of Nursing in Abu Dhabi. She has had a wide range of experience in nursing management. Tracy is also the Cochair for the Clinical Practice Guidelines committee and the Deputy Chair for the Resuscitation committee as well as an active member in the Research and Ethics committee at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, Abu Dhabi. Tracy is also the chair for the Advanced Practice and Professional Development Council. She is also a BFHI task force member. Tracy currently is on the task force for pathways to excellence. Dr Tracy is a registered nurse and a certified Advanced Midwife and has been awarded with a DBA, MBA, M.Sc. Healthcare management, and has a Master of Applied Business Research; she is a qualified hypnobirthing instructor and has a diploma in Aromatherapy, Herbalist, Reflexology and Naturopathy. Completing her public health degree in 2021. Tracy has a registered Midwife License with DoH. Tracy was awarded with the nightingale award for the best admin HOD who support Nurses in 2020.

Holding an MSBS degree, she is result-driven to integrate modern smart technologies into making substantive contributions to the biomedical sector. Having conducted research in neuroscience and oncology and having proudly graduated from Tallinn University of Technology (TALTECH) and Tallinn University School of Natural Sciences and Health, Ms. Uusmaa takes an evidence-based approach to her professional objectives and also to her endeavors as a passionate healthy lifestyle entrepreneuse. With a background in biomolecular and medical sciences, she has recently co-founded Quantum Brain Research Institute with the aim of supporting the development of neuroscientific research for neurocritical treatment applications through instructive programs in mental health assessment and management. In collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Health and Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, she developed a complete standard operating procedure for differentiating and generating fully functional glial cells from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) in only 30 days. Moreover, she holds over 6 years of hard-working experience in business operations and relationship building in more than 5 countries around the globe, having created and nurtured mutually beneficial partnerships, enhanced workflow efficiency, and contributed to the growth of several initiatives with substantial savings. Ms. Uusmaa’s biomedical undertakings have positioned her as an MSBS to be able to become an active contributor also to the longevity sector and put her expertise into helping people become their best version of themselves with properly validated and ethical practices. She considers herself lucky to be born in the beautiful Northern European city of Tallinn in Estonia, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure of the Baltic Sea, where women’s rights are valued and where cutting-edge technologies are implemented in e-governance and healthcare.
